New SAT Score Reporting Policy

Until now, all the SAT scores had to be sent to the admission committee. Score Choice is the new score reporting feature that allows student to select which scores

they wish to send to colleges by test date for the SAT and by individual test for SAT Subject Tests. This provides flexibility to students by allowing them to send best score from a given test date. However, scores of individual section from different sitting can not be sent. For example, it is not possible to send June’s Critical Reading score and October’s Mathematics score. Score Choice is an optional and if it is not chosen all scores will be sent automatically. Each university has its own score report policy. Students are instructed to follow different score practice for each college they wish to apply. Score Choice is available to all students via the Web or by calling Customer Service toll free. Students can send any or all scores to a college on a single report without bearing any additional cost to send more than one score.

The new score reporting policy will alleviate fear that a low score on an early attempt at the SAT will hurt chances of getting into a college.
