Hello everyone.

Like every week, we’ve got a question for you. This is a complicated math question combining lots of smaller questions into one, with no answer choices or anything- a real challenge!

The question is:

The side S of this cube is given by the formula (1/(S/4)) + (3/2) = 2 + (1/2).

If B, C and E are all midpoints of their respective edges of the cube, find the size of the largest of these angles:
XAY
XBY
XCY
XDY
XEY

You’re absolutely right, XBY is the largest angle, which measures approximately 64 degrees, the inverse tan of 2. Great job!
