I got this question from the logical reasoning section…interesting 1

More than half of the members in a Committee were girls. If 4/7 of the girls and 7/11 of the boys attended its meeting, what is the smallest number of members the Committee could have?

Its a student response question. Congrats to whoever solves it first!!

  I can’t resist a challenging question… so I’ll give it a shot.
  The way I see it, boys and girls have to be whole numbers. The minimum number of boys then has to be 11, so that 7 can attend the meeting. Then since we know there must be more girls, and the number of girls is divisible by 7, we have a minimum of 14 girls.
  That gives the answer of 25.
  
  Anybody agrees or disagrees with my reasoning?
